    El Barah:Blog 101

    I'm way too late and I never thought I'll do this! Here you go...
     
    1. Real name: Bassant
    2. The first person to call me Bassi was one of my first net friends who was a 34 year old Pakistani
    3. Born May 17 1981. A proud Taurean!
    4. Graduated from school at the age of 16
    5. Earned my BA in CIS a month before my 19th bday (sounds nerdy, doesn't it?)
    6. Completed my MBA last year
    7. I know the above 3 points make me sound a bit pompouse but I AM proud of myself:-)
    8. My nicknames: Basbosa, Bosbos, Basantoota, Basabiso:-)
    9. BIG music lover. Can't get enough of it.
    10. Always dreamed of being a singer
    11. Started playing the organ since the age of 9
    12. Tried playing the guitar but failed miserably. My finger nails grew too fast!
    13. I hardly use nail polish and if I do I use the transparent one
    14. Hate too much make up. I'm more of a natural looks person
    15. I know I'm not very attractive looks wise
    16. Can be too quiet at times
    17. People who do not know me think I'm proud and serious
    18. People who do know me think I'm veeeeery down to earth
    19. Many times I've been told that I sound a lot older than I really am, i.e. mature
    20. I can't make friends who are my age. We just don't get along.
    21. All my best friends are 30+ years old - Update: except for my few college and school friends
    22. I'm not instantly likeable to most people, but the more time they spend with me the more they start liking me
    23. I've never made enemies in my life
    24. I don't trust/rely on my feelings most of the time
    25. Intuition level is too low. I almost always get it wrong!
    26. I believe in second, third, fourth...tenth chances
    27. Don't mind dining alone
    28. Don't mind shopping alone
    29. Don't mind going to the movies alone. People just make big deal of it!
    30. Black is my favourite color, followed by all shades of blue and recently I've become fond of red!
    31. I believe that one day I will take photography as a profession
    32. I find something beautiful in everything I see. Many times I wish I could capture each and every little thing I set my eyes on.
    33. I hate waking up early
    34. I hate sleeping early
    35. If I wasn't working I would've thought that the day is useless, the night is when the real action starts!
    36. My favourite ice cream flavor is chocolate
    37. Fave ice cream brand is Baskin Robbins
    38. Fave chocolate is Cadbury with nuts and fruits
    39. In short, I'm a chocoholic!
    40. Songs and perfumes bring back memories to me
    41. I hate to throw anything away. Might come in handy later
    42. I have movie tickets dating back to 1998
    43. Love ancient history, Greek, Roman and Egyptian
    44. I'm interested in ancient arts as well
    45. I enjoy watching horror and comedies
    46. I have this huge crush on Chris Sarandon from Fright Night
    47. Can't work without music in the background
    48. Human mind and feelings intrigue me
    49. Besides being a singer I always wanted to be a psychologist
    50. I hate fruits except for pineapple
    51. Will drink fruit juice but hardly eat a fruit
    52. Don't like vegetables either..yuck!
    53. I keep away from fried foods...as much as possible:-)
    54. I'm very bad with numbers!! I barely passed finance and accounts and surprisingly scored an "A" in my O levels maths!
    55. My mom is my best friend
    56. My parents are the most important people to me
    57. I wish I was more ougoing
    58. And witty
    59. And loud!
    60. I have a sexy voice! (or so I've been told:-p)
    61. My heart will never take over my head
    62. I'm listening to Phil Collin's "Everyday" now
    63. I enjoy reading about astrology
    64. I could guess people's sign from their behaviour on many occasions
    65. Can't stand indecisiveness!!
    66. Ambitious men turn me on:-)
    67. I've done something stupid to my phone now and I'm unable to dial any number:-(
    68. I'm in office and I've got nothing to do.
    69. Sandra Bullock is my fave actress
    70. I always finish things at the last minute.
    71. Can never start doing anything early.
    72. I think I work best under pressure and stress..hehe..deadlines is the word!
    73. Appreciation motivates me
    74. I've never seen snow is my life, except on TV
    75. I think that the beach and the desert are the most beautiful spots in the world
    76. I'm wearing a formal suit today and my shoes are killing me!
    77. I adore Garfield:-D
    78. I haven't worn a dress in years!
    79. I enjoy reading horror novels and biographies
    80. I laugh very easily
    81. Sometimes I care too much that people take me for granted
    82. I like to be treated the same way I treat people
    83. When this doesn't happen, I show the person my bad side
    84. I can be tooooo nice and careful with others' feelings
    85. I keep in touch with my old friends from school
    86. I even call my school teachers to say hello
    87. People are really happy to hear from someone from those years gone by
    88. Michael Learns to Rock is one of my favourite bands
    89. I'm bad at public speaking
    90. I draw well
    91. I believe in the paranormal
    92. Too lazy to exercise regularly
    93. I hope I get married to a Leo or a Scorpio:-p
    94. I hardly cook
    95. I hate needlework
    96. I like hindi songs
    97. I wanna be more religious
    98. I wanna finish this list off
    99. Almost there...
    100. I hope Josh Groban gives a concert in Dubai
    101. I'm tired!

    Yes you are a real , and normal person, no doubt about it. I can see myself in most of the situations, And I can see that these are some serious and honestly written 101's

    13. Transparent nail polish??? Never heard of it , must be the most foolish invention ever. What next ? transparent clothes for those who dont like coloured ones!!

    96. Hindi songs-- Cant get enough of them eh? What about hindi films with all those colourful dances ? I am a great fan of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and his Urdu fusions. Have you ever watched the original video of Piya Basanti?
